Help identifying.

Found near a creek in South Carolina. There were confederate soldiers camped out in the area. The land is also very old farm land. I've found a couple of arrowheads but nothing else like this.

7th Ohio regiment were called the 7th Ohio Roosters, and wore a Roster badge so could be Civil war?
