Help iding button

I would like to know what year is this button, it has three small stars on the back side. And I could make out two letters the beginning letter is C and the last letter is T..........Thanks

Civilian flat button, probably says a maker and/or some version of the word "gilt" on the back. 1820s to 1840s, ball park
