Help me figure this out( solved)

This was found in my backyard in Lexington KY. House was built in 1955 and that's when the neighborhood went in. Near this I found a M1 carbine bullet from 1943 and a small strand of barbed wire and some old nails. This is iron I think with no markings. What do you think it is?

It looks to me like a nose ring for a bull.

It reminds me of of a gun part . I use to watch ''The Rifleman" starring Chuck Conners . He had a 44-40 Winchester rifle.

I agree with AARC, that it is a screen door handle. the straight side it meant to be pushed, while the curved side is meant to be pulled

The round is marked PCC 43. Which would be peters cartridge co. Made in 43. It is a 30 carbine round. Kings mill ordinance plant in Ohio.

Thank you all. I agree that it is a screen door handle. Have no IDE what it ws doing at the bottom of my yard. Thank you all for your help here.
