Help me get into the WATER!

I am looking to add to the arsenal with a water machine.

What are some good, older water machines that I may be able to get a good price on? Machines that you have had some luck with!

It will be mainly river hunting. Sometimes the water is brackish closer to the coast... but for the most part, mineralization isn't a big issue.

I have some great spots to hunt, but I have been scared to hunt them with my non-waterproof machines (because I am a clumsy &*^%).

I'd go up to $400 USD... possibly a little more.

With the funds you have available you will probably need to stick with the ATPro. It does great in fresh water and I have had good luck in salt also. It doesn't like the high mineralized black sand though.

Maybe one of the pulse induction machines? might find a Tesoro Sand or Tiger Shark used in that neighborhood.

The Tiger Shark is a great fresh water detector, fully submersible, light enough for shoreline hunting, and excellent on tiny gold and silver. It is not a pulse machine, and does have discrimination capability.

SusanMN is right and a clean, used Tiger Shark can be found in your price range.
