No, it is opaque but it like the inside contains quartz

I think the grey area is Chalcedony

It becomes blurry when I try to zoom.
There are great YouTube videos that explain: agates, chert, chalcedony, etc. These may be helpful. They taught me quite a lot. Generally an agate will display at least some banding and some translucency. There are some exceptions, as well as some chalcedony that appears agate-like. Good luck in your search. 👍🏼

I broke the stone in half. It doesn't has any banding. So what is this rock?
