During my search of halfs, I have found several foreign coins. Most of the time, I'm able to identify them, but I have six that I need help with. I know there are a lot of coin experts on this site that probably can shed some light on these coins, and I sure would appreciate your help.

I am pretty sure picture #7 and #9 are British pennies. I found one of those in a box a while back.

Will tell you silver or gold content as well, and an appox worth.

Thanks for this great site! The only problem I have is identifying some of the countries. Any help will be apprceiated.

Right. Top 2 Mexico, the One Penny is British, I found one also. Take a good look at it, they make trick coins out of them. that Honduras, because of the date and the mark 0.900 makes me think it is .900 silver. Sweet.

Thanks AW! That one from Honduras is definitely silver. All of these coins are the size of a half dollar. I actually enjoy finding them when going through halfs.

That's what we are here for, to share info. I've gotton about 10 foreign coins in rolls / boxes and a bag. Check out this post of the "Dream bag" I got (scroll down for the pictures). It had all sorts of goodies in it (and over 300 -40's)

Wow AW, that's what I call hiting the mother lode. My heart would have skipped a couple of beats if I saw that much silver in a bag. Thanks for sharing!

Coin #5/6 is South Korea, 100 won. Nice selection. I wonder which are more common, British pennies, Mexican pesos or Panamanian balboas. They all show up pretty regularly.

I have done about 30-35K in halves and never found a foreign coin in the brinks 5x5x2 boxes. Not that I would pay fifty cents for one but I feel like I'm missing out on something.

Thanks Immy! I would have never have guessed that was the country.
