I would guess either a quartz crystal or a calcite crystal..

It is not as dark or brown as Smokey quartz crystal but you may be close. It was found in Dallas county.

I found it outside. It does not look cut to me.

It's is natural quartz. Notice the striations! Looks like some hematite at the tip.
