This is one of the smaller H&H clocks I have eve seen. H&H stands for Harris & Harrington. They made clocks starting aproximately in the 1880s. What is interesting though is the H&H that I know of was not a French company. I think the H&H I know of was a british company.

The term they used for this type of clock is a Carriage Clock.

I think H&H was Harris & Harrington, I believe an 19th Century US importer of clocks from the Saint-Nicholas-D'Aliermont area (actually village) near Dieppe, France.

$18.00 sweet. Turn of the century French carraige clock. Call me to go garage saleing with you.I used to get $400.00 for these running & cleaned, now about $200.00.Even not running but complete I would still get $100.00.English clock companys imported many french carraige clock movements and finished the work in Britain.Hope this helps a bit.
