Help this is a wheat penny that has something on it

I can see that it is a wheat penny but there looks like there are wavy crossing lines one it is there any idea what happened to this or what did this. Please help

I have one looks just like it. I'm womdering what's under the crust. It might be to far gone I know mines pretty ate.

Sometimes when a coin is in the soil a long time "designs" get engraved on the coin. masy be the case here. Happy hunting.
