Help w marks on gold rings

Found a ring marked "14kGS" Does this mean 14 gold over silver?

Could be 14kt plated German Silver as well. I've seen some ads on Ebay for Costume Jewelry with this mark which may or may not be silver. I couldn't find a reference for it so this is all speculation until someone finds a real reference. Whatever it means, it is not solid 14kt gold.
