One word...

WOW.

Ok 2 words...
Holy moley.

Sheesh man... you found this ? ? ?

IF that thing is real... sheeesh....
Um...
Speechless.

Yep, I found it. So What the heck is it! Very little damage done to it by the salty/brackish water. Meaning 1 of only 2 things... the metal content is very solid or... it 100% fake and dropped there last week?

The letters in the top right of the first picture are the Greek alphabet symbols for Kappa Epsilon Phi, so maybe some kind of old fraternity medal? I'll look into it and post again if I come up with anything. Good luck and nice find regardless!

Maybe a local religious medallion that some of the local fisherman distributed amongst themselves for their boats? Kinda like surfers wearing a St. Christopher medal? Ever find out? I would put age at "old".

That area is very old- I get a late 1700's/early 1800's kinda feel from it, just a feeling though!

I think that is St. Christopher. And the Byzantine/Roman/whatever ship on the other side I've seen on Google for a St. George medal for sailors. Could be any age, I've even seen some rough looking large medallions from the 1970's, though I still think it is older.
