It's a "trunk" That mounted on the back of the car. In the early 1900's cars didn't have a storage space so trunks were added, thus the modern term "trunk". If that is an original it is highly collectable.

They were basically generic. The same trunk were used on different years. Most were aftermarket and didn't have the logo. Yours maybe a newer repo item?

The logo is from 1929, 30, 31. It was a dealer add on item.
