Help with Arabic coins made into cufflinks

Bought these cufflinks from a thrift store for $2. The cufflink part tests as silver. Not able to test coins.

Curious if anyone knows country/date for these coins. They are about the size of nickels.

Thanks Don for taking up the challenge. Uncovering an antique’s origins is definitely not an easy feat. However, with pure determination and passion then nothing is impossible. It is always an exciting thing to know where a certain piece of gem comes from which enables us to learn a bit of history too while at it.
