help with bullet cartridge

I have a 44 rem mag bullet there are two letters running around the base r and p it also has a steel primer i think i know its not copper

Thanks man do u know time period possibly is it like modern and when i mean modern i mean like 60s and up or is it a little older cause i thought since it wasnt a copper primer it had to have a good little age cause they used copper primers for a good little while now
