Found this coin today, I'm assuming it's Chinese but I can't tell. It's pretty worn but I believe it is made of copper. Hopefully the image is good enough quality, since I had to use my phone. If anyone could provide some information it would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Try cleaning it up with olive oil, might make some detail pop.
Nice find, that's cool.

Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Yes, it's a Chinese 'cash' coin.
I look forward to seeing it cleaned up a bit more--so that it can be ID-ed.

It's similar to the picture but the markings are slightly different. Thanks for the info... I'm not sure that I will be able to clean it up any more though. It's really worn and the symbols are pretty smooth. I may have to have someone take a look at it in person

IMO, don't pay anyone for giving you an opinion on this coin.
This coin is probably a typical one worth a couple of bucks if it were in VF condition.

Thanks for the link! It was incredibly helpful, looking at the links I think that it is this coin:
coins of china, the Ch'ing Dynasty

It's number S-1467. It was produced between 1736-1795. It's worth about $2 apparently. Not sure how it ended up buried in Ohio. Thanks for everyone's help with ID'ing the coin!
