Those two piece buttons that we find with scenes of nature depicting animals , birds, dogs and pastoral scenes get grouped in as sporting buttons or huntsman buttons
Supposedly worn on hunting attire when out on a foxhunt or duck shoot..that sort of thing
I've found several varieties over the years and they always are different.. good find

I wanted to add that they date in the Victorian era..around mid 1800s
