I found this button today and was hoping to get a rough estimate on the age. Looking online, some that looked real close to the design ranged from 1500's to 1700's but the older buttons seemed to be domed style.
My main goal was to confirm its at least 1700's as this would be my oldest find and very out of place in East Kentucky as the area wasn't even explored in any large capacity till Daniel Boone post 1767. They may have been some fur trappers and hunters from northern states wonder in as well and would be so cool to know it could have been lost in this era.
