Help with silver filigree flower pendant/brooch

Hello Everyone,

I picked up this silver filigree flower brooch/pendant. It is not marked but tests as silver. The chain is marked 835 which I believe is a German silver mark. (I do not think the chain is original to the item)

A few questions:
- Any idea on age? I know you can sometime identify jewelry age by the pin mechanism or clasp type. (Any good references for this?)
- I am assuming the middle is just blue enamel?

Sorry, can't help on the age but the center does not appear to be enamel. It could be stone or glass or plastic?
