Help

I found this in a yard about 200 yards from a river. It's lead and the hole goes all the way thru. Any ideas?

It was about 8 inches down. I believe it's some sort of net weight but I'm not sure.

I have a few of those too and always wondered. Fishing sinker perhaps.

that is a mud line wt. off a seine or cast net .................. probably weighs an ounce or a half ounce .. hard to tell how long it is .............. des arc , home of the minnow farms !!!!!!!! nice country !!!!!

Thanks I think it's quite a bit heavier than an oz. I would weigh it but I left it at the office. And yeah des arc does have a few minner ponds...and mosquitos!
