Definitely a close-range hard impact "mushroomed" Rifled Shotgun slug. See the photos below.

Based on the degree of oxidation/corrosion visible on it, your excavated "mushroomed" fired Rifled-Shotgun slug is from sometime in the mid-20th-Century (1930s through 1960s).
