Kind of new to metal detecting and I live in Texas. I quickly found out there are not many places you are "allowed" to go in this huge state.
BUT... I did find a way around it and have already found a honey hole that has netted me three rings in about 15 hours of detecting.
Texas is in a drought which means many lakes and rivers are very low and even dried up.
THINK SWIMMING HOLES, SUNTAN LOTION, AND SLIPPERY FINGERS TREADING WATER. RINGS FLY OFF.
Hunt those dried up swimming holes here in Texas while the water is low.
