That is strange...Its not an eroor, its been modified after leaving the mint, very cool though. Can't wait to see the cache :o

I can't see any sign of a die strike or tampering. You might want to have an expert take a look at that one. trk5capt...

this may turn out to be a capped die error. When a coin does not release from the striking die it begins to wrap around the die. Each subsequent strike will have less and less detail (usually incuse and reversed) until it appears to be totally blank. exanimo, ss
