Here is final tally from $1k search in halves purchased directly out of bank machine

here are my finds from the 1k halves directly from the bank

so here is the weird thing..........the coins pictured without my hands are obviously all silver, 64-69 bennies etc........also some foreign coins with a golf token but the pictures with my hands are all 2012-2016 p and ds that appear to have silver in them.......the one pic with all silver is all 2015 p and d kennedy half dollars.......why do they look like silver? It was an amazing night and a great haul, just goes to show that loomis, bank tellers and many others get their hands ont he stuff before we get a chance, this was the first time I ever bought directly from the public without it being gone thru at all........I am going to buy the quarters and dimes from their machine tomorrow...........but I am very happy with the haul.......it was incredible..............to recap, I went to my bank as usual to buy the 24.00 in halves turned in on friday, the bank mgr told me the machine had just filled up with halves, this is a machine where the public can come dump their coins and take the deposit slip up to the branch, when the machine reaches 1k in halves (amongst other coins) they empty the bag put in a sealed air bag and send to feds, i bought the bag directly from the bank in the sealed bag......I posted that pic last night.......this was the haul from that bag, it was silver city, but what i can't figure is all the silver looking coins that are not s marked from 2012-2015 the coins appear to be silver all the way around.........

Pretty simple honestly, they can't be silver if they are those years and P mint. Plated.

Take a file or piece of sandpaper , abrade the edge on a couple of those halfs that look silver , the copper should show up right away, otherwise we are all mystified as to what is going on with those coins !
