Ended up scoring a clipped piece of silver a cool looking watch fob a nice pewter button and few other flat buttons and as the story goes "On the way back to my truck" How many times have we heard that . welp scored a super old buckle that I cant identify sooo..... buckle expert chime in please . Brass Saddle Shield

This excavated saddle shield is constructed of cast brass which now has a woodsy green patina and some very mild period bending. It measures approximately 1-5/8 inches in width and 2-3/16 inches in length. There are no cracks, breaks, repairs. An example of the same type shield is pictured in
