That is who I think is wearing the winged helmet . It is very thin and I can bend it easy with my hand .Reminds me of a canning jar lid or lid to something and it is all I have of it . Found at a 1881 railroad camp that had a house built on that area in 1886 and was lived in til thirteen years ago so a wide range of years .

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before ?
 

Could we see the back, in case there are clues as to what it's function was?

The house is still up . The ground is littered with nails / heavy trash . I know there is good stuff it is sifting through it all . You dig a target and pull out three nails , pottery , broken glass , can slaw and then there is your target . If the plow did not ruin it that is . Large lot behind the house that used to be a massive garden pick and pay for the town in the 70s . Plow turned all the targets and ruined most .
