Blue slag glass, made from recycled glass and then dyed. Used for landscaping.:zoom:

old furnace glass for sure, Not sure why everyone trys calling it slag glass though. slag is specifically from metal furnaces. there is no way slag glass was "dyed" that color as it was always more opaque browns and greens. Yes there was glass made out of recycled slag that had meatal oxides added to it, but these were more opaque and looked marbled. This is simply glass from the bottom of the furnace, or emptying out the furnace from a broken crucible or something, or was simply extra emptied out before the next batch was melted. Hard to tell from the pictures, but the color was probably obtained from either copper, or a very small amount of cobalt.
