A big hi to all from Silver City, NM.

My profile may be new here, but I'm not exactly new to treasure hunting. I'm looking forward to reading, contributing, and discussing this great hobby of ours and making a few friends and hopefully buddies I can go out hunting with.

Welcome THN! You are in the right place, lots of cool people here. :icon_thumleft: Where is Silver City NM? I lived in the four corners (Farmington/Aztec) for years.........my son is still living there.

Welcome! I used to know a cute blond gal from Silver City!

Silver City is down in the SW corner of the State. Lots of great treasure hunting in the area. From the Lost Adams Diggings, to Skeleton Canyon, Victorio Peak and Nick/El Tesoro over there in the Caballos.

Had a brother who ran a small coal mine up there in Farmington.

Plenty of cute blonde gals around here; if you like, pm me and I can look in on her for ya :)

LOL! She had flings with many pesky rock stars but not (to my knowlege) Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick! Fine woman she was! ::)

Thanks to the movie 'Rat Race', I know where Silver City is. Welcome to Tnet. Some nice folks here and some others not worth the powder it would take to smoke em. They all got somethin to say though; good info and alternate views.

Silver City isn't really like the movie destination very much. I was kind of disappointed. We used to have a railroad, but they tore down the depot years ago. There was also an old narrow gauge train that used to run from town to the mining camp of Pinos Altos. We used to walk it as kids and find the old railroad spikes.

Here are some old photos of town.

The only gal that would go home to get some strange stuff :laughing7:

Welcome from Alabama. :)

Looking forward to seeing your posts. :hello:

Welcome.... I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven if I had a metal detector and lived in a place named Silver City....

Welcome, I was just through your area, to and from Arizona, a couple months ago (last Oct/Nov) stopped around Deming, Las Cruces, M'detected at a rest stop there. It was in November coming back home, but a dusty wind blew up...so, moved on and then it snowed in Albuquerque.

I think, I've read a little about some really neat, treasure stories all connected to Silver City. I prefer warmer weather, my other trip before this, was during the last 2 weeks of June. :icon_sunny:

Welcome to Treasure-Net, I drove through just South of Silver city a few years ago, read some brochures about your area, but didn't have time to stop & look around.

Did your EX join the forum here yet?

How about Wick's Gulch...that is like, almost in your backyard.

Welcome. I'm living in the Albuquerque area but, was born in that little, "berg" about 8-10 miles east of you. Raised in Deming.
