I still can't believe I'm posting my finds (I can almost hear the laughter)............but, today I found my first Mercury dime. She's a 1941 beauty with crisp detail. It's nothing compared to what I see on here, however, it is my first Merc!

congrats on your first merc!! im sure it was a rush to find. anytime you see that white color against the soil, its an amazing feeling. thats pretty much my ultimate goal, to see the shine. mercs are so cool...

congrats on your first merc! I don't remember when my first merc was found, but my first silver coin ever was a 1948 Roosie, I still remember it after 15 years!

I don't think anyone will laugh. I posted my first Merc last week and people were very nice with their comments. I have only found few silver coins myself, so I remember where I got each one, and they are special to me. Congrats on your find and many more to you. (BTW, I got my first buffalo a few weeks ago, still working on an Indian head, I think you and I probably set similar goals for ourselves. . .).
