This is private owned ground that we hunted today with permission. You can see two Cannon in placements and lots of breast works. Pictures don't do it justice. You can feel that it's a special place when you're there.

You are right, a person with a keen appreciation can FEEL the history a site has...just by standing on it.:thumbsup:
 
I know what you mean. Like your photos, and would love to be able to visit the site. I've been to several Indian wars battle sites, and I've felt what you are talking about.
 
What I like best about this site, is its pure. Hasent been " primped up" by the preservation. Not knocking what they do, but this is real, just like they left it.
