It was above freezing today so I decided to go find a spot to hunt. Stopped at a ball park & started swinging the coil. I found $1.16 in clad & a silver butterfly ear ring. Just about ready to leave & I swung the coil over the end of the warning track which is cinders. I got a solid dime signal & it sounded like it was right on top, so I scraped the top inch with off with my screwdriver and saw what I thought was a clad penny. Picked it up and dusted it off, My first barber 1915 s in great shape. This park has been hunted for 40+ years, I don't know if the dime was brought in with the cinders or it has just been waiting there for me and the MXT.

Congrats on the Barber! Sounds like it may have been brought into the park. HH, Mike

WTG on your first barber. I'm going out this weekend, snow or not :icon_sunny:

Re: Hit a home run today

Congratulations on that barber, it's kind of a semi key date, that is the better the condition the more it goes up in value compared to other dates! Got a picture?

It looks fantastic to me since I have never found one. Congrats

Congrats on your first Barber.
That sure is quite a feeling when you pull one of those out of the ground.
Mike

Cong's on the silver barber...Matt

Bula,
Great find that I passed up obviously. No more detecting for a while with 14 inches of snow. i hope you made a ton plowing....Kane 23

Well not a ton but I think I made enough to buy a little gold. Keep your eye open for a good deal on a gold coin, you know I lnow nothing about what to buy. If you hear of anything let me know.

I love that coin...my very first coin find was a 1898o barber dime.......
