Went out today after it warmed up to above freezing temps, ground was frozen about 2 or 3 inches down , so I was digging anything giving a high tone! The large cent is the 4th and oldest one from this site 1831, wish it was in better condition but I can at least read the date, a few buttons and a boot tap .

The buttons look like ones from the same era or a bit earlier than the coin. Good site and good you hunt it in the cold.
