hollow canadian military button? or england button or not a button at all!

I found this in my back yard in British Colombia Canada. It has some sort of crest or coat of arms on it and its hollow looks like the back was worn off. It has a lion in the middle standing sideways and two lions that are wearing crowns on the outer part surrounding it, a crown on top and a banner at the bottom (cant make out the words.
