Holy Cow, Did I just found a gold coin? NO

Found this and almost freaked out a little. spotted this in a hole and looked like all the other gold coins other people find from time to time.

I quietly looked around in the area and headed home to clean this up and turns out not to be gold.

It is not gold.

depending on the year, it's either copper-nickel or brass. very cool find
