Just outside the open space where I live is an older neighborhood of small homes the coal miners of long past lived in. I took a shot of this one that looks like it started as Pullman rail car. I'm sure the building codes around here today wouldn't allow a structure such as this these days. The going thing around here these days is buying these places for the lots these places site on. They get bought and torn down to build bigger homes with prices in the $450 to $500K range. I wonder how much of that original passenger car is under all that siding?

That's pretty cool Tamrock. Did you know George Pullman got his start here in CO with a way-station near Golden where he sold equipment to the miners headed towards Central City and other areas? He then moved back to Chicago and started his train car business.

Did not know that. I did know that Pullman and his rail coach cars was a business success story of the times.
