Have a local site that used to be in inn where some Italians from Chicago used to visit. Rumor has it Capone stayed there, but not sure on the validity of that. Rumor had it that they would always play Bocce ball in the rear yard and that is confirmed by the 50 wheaties, 5 silver dimes and 6 IH pennies I have found back there. Always cool when a rumor is confirmed.

So I had a couple of hours yesterday and went to a different area of the property that I hadn't detected yet and wow, it produced. Found 12 wheaties, 1896 barber quarter, 1923 mercury dime, 1911 Canadian large cent and what looks like a "US" military flat button. Any info on that flat button would be appreciated. Boy was that a good day considering I went out the day before a an old farm site which was a total bust. Found nothing. Really cool site, but hasn't produced anything. I am guessing someone got there before me.

Some days are better than others. IMG_5056.webpIMG_5057.webp

Very nice bunch of finds congrats on the silver and other finds

That is a very productive Bocci Court.
Congrats on some sweet finds

Great finds !!! Do you have a pic of the back of US button?

The US flat button is a collar disc. Worn on the collar of a US military uniform. Here is the link to the info on them... don't say that I never did anything for you.
