Honestly looks like a door-stop IMO

Edit: On second thought it's obviously too small for that :/

Welcome to T-Net! And thanks for your opinion. I don't know about it being that though. I just don't see how it would function as a doorstop. Maybe you are right though!

Maybe a lever off of an antique mechanical bicycle bell.

Perhaps a throttle Or choke lever for an old small engine? There appears to be a grippy surface to both sides of the lever, indicating it wasn't springy in one direction like a bicycle bell (not to say that that's a bad idea)

maybe a release button off a come a-long? or a ratchet strap? or a winch?
