Just thought I'd share one of many artifacts I've found from the old farm homestead area. The original farm originated in 1892 and moved location in the 40's to it's current location.
This ring was over 12 inches down. It was a faint signal but because the ground is so quiet out there, it was possible to get over top of it fairly easily.
I did a spark test on the ring and found out it's not steel, but wrought iron. That means it's very old. If I had to take a guess it was from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
I'll post more farm artifacts I've found if there is some interest in this type of find.
