Does the horseshoe control the discrimination or sound ?
When you use horseshoe to discriminate, is it using the discrimination circuit to reject ferrous or is it using audio circuit to mute ferrous tones?

When I use the Nox my horseshoe is always on by default. You should try it as well, then you will easily figure it all out
