Horseshoes

My friend lives in an old schoolhouse. When digging up the yard for a garden, 2 horseshoes were found. Looking to find a timeline that these could of been from. Only 3 families lived at this schoolhouse but no horses were there that they know of. There are fields all around them. Can anyone tell me any info on them? Thanks!

How old is the school house?

Round 1898 it was built. Didn't know if these were used at the one room schoolhouse for a tossing game or working horses shoes. Or era on them

Back in those days you must remember that some kids still traveled to school on horses. It is quite possible that those horse shoes could have come off the horses while being kept there near the school. Also ack in those days community meetings were also held in the local school House.
