Hot Head search coil?

Hi.

I have an eagle spectrum and it has a hot head search coil 11", and I can't get more then three inches of depth from it.I would think it should go deeper then that?Anybody now what's up with this coil?The settings look right,I think?

I just bought this and really want to go hunting!

The Hothead coils were not very good quality, so probably it is bad. Try to find an original 950 coil, they show up on eBay occasionally. There are a lot of different versions so be careful to get the right one. White's might have one in their junk pile they'll send you.
