Mostly since 2000 - all "junk" ones - brass, copper, steel etc
got rid of all from my first 20 yrs - scrapped the good metals and threw out the steel ones
I hunt all metal most of the time so I find the steel ones everyone else pass up
salt water will dissolve most of the steel ones up here - Fla. they cake up
I get a lot in fresh water spots that guys leave behind - I got spots I can go to that get hammered
and i'll come up with 20 junk earings and not much else

I've been finding a few of those. All junk. I can't believe how many women wear those big hoops in the water.

I used to find a fair amount of gold ones - not any more

Now that must have taken some time to gather and a heck of a lot of fun!

this is from one day at a fresh water spot - lot of junkers
2 small ones in center are gold
along with one of my best chain finds - it was in like 6ft+ of water - I wear mask and snorkel - so others
could not get to it

Wow! That’s a lot of snorkeling. That chain is awesome Casper.

I worked the rope line/buoy line which was around 6ft mark - I know that when the life guards leave - the kids break the rules and swim
under and past - so I reached out as far as I could past the ropes and got a blast and dove under and fanned that one up
I think the silver bracelet was from out there too. I was hitting just after sun rise before the life guards showed up - when I was out deep
they showed up and flagged me to come back on this side of the ropes - shallows were peppered by others and I had done from chest to
just over my head so I left - went back a few days later and hit out past ropes first and this is what I got for the day
new change was fresh drops in chin to waist deep - wedding band and silver chain were past the ropes and dove and fanned those up
both chains were intact so figure they dove straight down and they were so long they just slipped off their necks - I ended up finding a nice watch past the ropes there also.

That stuff doesn't even make it home with me... right into the trashcan before I get into my car.

Yeah, my trash tries to leave the car before it gets to my house also. I'm now into tossing dug sinkers to any fisherman within throwing distance. They like free sinkers. I have so many it's not funny.

If you find as much as I or more (sinkers that is) - it adds up - I used to make them into musket balls - musket balls aren't cheap from sporting good store - then I made them into new sinkers which aren't cheap either then bunch went into making weight belt which would have cost me close to $200 to buy new
now what I got saved is like $600+ right now and if I live long enough will eventually be able to buy a new machine with it down the road
as for the junk earings - down the road I will sort the good junk ones from the bad and scrap the copper and brass ones and throw out the steel ones - just figure
i'll keep saving them now to show people just what is out there - ive got large container of match box toys -think I got couple 100 - another with 100s of keys - another with other junk jewelry
some may be sellable - rest will be scrapped down the road - got like 500 lures - some are good and can be sold or given away - others will be scrapped - all helps pay
towards hobby - battery, gas etc.
