I work outside in this weather. Eleven hour days...........not liking it too much right now.

One word comes to mind with this cold weather down South, and that word is SHRINKAGE. :tongue3:
-MM-

Our cars have sun roofs for a reason. It's kinda funny but 3 miles from me they have snow in Ga. None here yet they say in the a.m. Digiron you have been digging some good stuff.

So how deep is your snow down south? It must be real hard having to wait 2 or 3 days before you can go detecting. Most of us north haven't been able to detect since early December. I know you guys down south don't get bad winters, so your not use to it, but in comparison your weather is mild down there vs up north. Down there if you get any snow it shuts everything down, up here it's just another day. I am glad I don't live way up north, where they have real miserable winters to deal with, it's bad enough in the northern part of Ohio.

Here in PA the ground has been covered in snow for 2 months. And hasn't been above 34 degrees in weeks.. Usually hovering around 24. Another 10 inches of snow on it's way. I don't recall a winter this cold and snowy in these parts .

Tonight, parts of Alabama are expected to get 4-6 inches of snowfall mixed with sleet. This is the second round in two weeks. We have had temps in the teens and single digits here this winter as well. Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina are getting slammed with ice today and tonight as well.....so say the weather wizards:) For the deep south.........it's a fairly hard winter.

AS a relocated northerner I only have one thing to say Yes we have about 4 inches of snow and ice BUT ITS GOING TO BE 60 Saturday

Crazy ,how the south is getting it this nasty weather this year.Va isn't to faraway .no work, so I think I should dig why i can.:laughing7:

I live in Graham Nc, but was raised in Bedford PA until moving down here at age 10. It doesn't bother me,

Loving it here in South GA! It's way too hot here in the summer to do much land detecting! It will be 70 degrees here by Saturday I'm sure.
