Ole man winter gave me a two day reprieve, I saw the two warm days coming
and I took advantage of both of them. If anyone was following my latest exploits
they know that I didn't find a great deal of gold, silver, etc. BUT!

I got out and was able to take two lovely days of walks. Not only that, I even found a fair
amount of keeper targets on both days. Some interesting finds and even a ring a day!

Here's today's :

A lens holder?

Is this a modern version of a "mood ring"?

You know how it is, bling or not, Blingie's quite happy! LOL

Now, I suspect I might get another shot in this month but if I don't
I'm reasonably happy with this, the 2014 season.

Now to hunker down under a rather large quilt!

Thanks for peeking!

That ring looks like a spinner maybe? WTG on getting out. We have to take advantage while we can!

Your like me, get it in while I can.Won't be too long before old man winter will be showing his ugly head, hard ground and snow down here.Where are you from?

even though it's a junk ring, it still counts. at least you're diggin', which is more than I can say for myself

No, at least I don't think so. There seems to be a bit of some sort of translucent something around the middle. Over a repeating theme
of a star and crescent moon. :dontknow:

Nice digs!, I've found one of those type rings before, thought it was a mood ring of some sort but I'm no expert

get out while you can!

Ok, I Had to check my old finds....I have 2 somewhat like that and one is a spinner and the other isn't. Both have that clear outer layer over them. Maybe they are a mood ring, but I think all the mood has leaked out, lol! Just looks like cheap plastic over red nickel now!

I wonder, what might this ring look like if the plastic was removed and then polished? Hmmmmm. ;)

Good work Ginzu.

I always try to figure a way to swing. Sometimes it's in the woods where it doesn't freeze quite as quickly. Sometimes it's where the ocean rolls the sand, sometimes, it's out in the water. At least, I used to, for, ya see, Ole Man Winter isn't the only one, gettin' old. ;) LOL

Anymore, I find myself choosing a hot toddy and M*A*S*H reruns. ;) LOL

I'm not in a bad place to find some ground to dig though. Like it says, "South of the Mason Dixon". :) But, a little north of the capital. Close nuff to maybe try a visit to the home of my pappy. Good ole Virginy! ;)

I was just curious, not trying to pry or anything.I hear you on the getting old.Seems like the older I get the faster time flies, and the ability slowly dies. Not to mention my damn back:)I am hoping for a mild winter here, but don't think were gonna be so lucky here this year.Just have that feeling it is gonna be one of thows winters.

No offence offered and none taken. Should paint a pretty close picture though. LOL

When I saw that this summer never really got all that hot, for any length of time, I figured a hard winter.
Looks right so far. :(

I've been pretty fortunate in the physical department. I'm still reaping some of the benefits of running
marathons in a former lifetime. ;) BUT, it is finally beginning to catch up. Can't outrun Father Time.

Time flies when one's having fun!
I must be having one heck of a good time!!! ;)

Nice finds and a good walk! You put a smile on Blingie's face.

These will be the good old days to remember in the coming cold blustery winter.
And whom ever is speeding up the hands of time, will ya low it down a bit I don't run that fast!

I still am seeking a bit of gold before the years end and the snow begins.

I think Blingie has that grin on his face in his sleep! ;)

I suspect that we all would love to see that tell tale glimmer of gold in the "pan".
No matter what time of the season. :)

It's fine to set goals, one more hole, one more coin, one more bling, etc. Just be careful
that if it's not found it could lessen the feeling of just being able to do.

I have to say, (and actually I'm speaking as one who has found that one more piece of gold for the year already),
that I'm pretty well satisfied with the way my season is finishing up. Not looking forward to a frozen Winter-land but
nobody asked my opinion on whether we should have one. :dontknow:

Thanks and best of luck on your quest!

The fun is in the quest anyhow! The never knowing but hoping the next signal is a good one!

Blingie must dream of bling lot then!

Hi There- I found a ring like that last year. It had brown and black on it just like that. I squeezed it and it all that came off in one piece. Turned out it was silver!
You never know.

Hello again.

Remember my mood ring?

2014 (943).webp

Well, here it is after it's dressing down.

2014 (960).webp

I gotta say, not too shabby. :)

That cleaned up nicely!
