How can i tell a state park from a city or county park?

I need help understanding how to tell a state park from a city or county park? I have looked online and cannot find much! Thanks for reading!

I'd start by contacting the administration office of the park--and ask.

Every state has a list of their State Parks. You would normally expect to find that on the State Park's website. I haven't tried every state but that system has always worked for me.

Most state parks around me I don't have to pay I usually only know they are state because of the size! Thanks for the reply.

In my area, they all have signage stating the name, such as: Geode State Park. Every entrance and parking area has them.

I don't know what state you're in, but most state parks have a sign at the entrance saying whatever State Park. Like these guys said you search up (My state) State Parks and they'll have a list. I camp in state parks at times in six states, and everyone of them has a day use fee, usually at a self serve kiosk when you come in. Some states charge a day use fee in addition to your camping fee, which kinda sucks.
