how good are 3d detectors ??

i see on many online-shops many expensive so called 3d metal/gold etc detectors
no one talk or review it ,only info i get is high price .lcd monitor/pc thing and

so can anyone shed some light on performance of these detectors
like depth, resolution easy of work with 3d look (i guess in 3d is better to see what was down there)
