How long will nic a date leave the dates visible?

I have been getting more and more dateless buffalos. I am considering buying the product, but I heard the effects might only last so long. I also heard that the dates stay there permanently after the product has been used.

I tried nic-a-date, alot. I put it on my head, my chest, I even bought the spray version. I haven't gotten any dates AT ALL. If dates are what you are after, then trust me it won't get you ANY.

It's not good to put on you either, but I've disolved the dates of A FEW nickels with it. Ask cladsmoke about it, he actually uses it to clean some of the dated nickels.

It works good for me. I'm working on a buffalo nickel album. They last a long time if you don't rub the date after you use the product. I use Nic-a-Date, then dab the coin to clean it off, then run water over it. If I need it for my album, put it in there. If I don't, I put it in a coin tube.

nic-a-date works by dissolving some of the metal, so the effect is permanent. since the relief is low though it's easy to re-wear down the date
