How Much Sand Needs To Be Removed? POLL!

I realize this is situational/locational but it's just as a general question. Thought the answers/replies might be interesting, especially from those with experience in this sort of thing.

2-4 would be nice in Volusia... It has only been building for the last 2-3 years, so I positive there is enough there to keep me busy, then maybe another 2 or so in a month. Can't cover it all at once.

I think back to all the sand that was brought in the last time the beach was stripped and I'm picturing a huge dead zone in that 3 to 8 foot range.
