I think both of these buttons are pewter, but I'm not positive. But my main question is how old are they? I found them at two different sites and would like to know roughly when they were manufactured. I think they are post-1800, but that doesn't help much.

The button on the left is a one piece button. Seems heavy for it's size. The button on the right is a two piece button. Looks like the two pieces were soldered together somehow. Doesn't seem as dense as the button on the left.

Any help (even guesses) would be appreciated. Just a rough idea would be helpful. Thanks!

Hogge, Thank you! Always important to know how old the site is when you're detecting. Now if I can just find some coins from that era, I'll be really happy! Thanks again for your help.
