Found this antique signet ring years ago in a area from the 1850’s. Does anyone have any idea how old it is? Antique jewelry shops around where I live aren’t sure. Tests positive for 14k I think it’s more like 16k and weighs 6.5 grams. No markings. Initials on top of ring are, RHJ but hard to see.

Beautiful old gold ring, definitely at least 1800's considering that it doesn't have markings. A gold signet ring like that is high on my bucket list, much cooler than any modern jewelry in my opinion.

I agree with coinman123, most likely late 19thc, probably c1900.
There's some writing on the face, looks like 'Robert'. :icon_scratch:

Beautiful find!

Really nice find!! I also think late 19th century, but what is the dark material inside the bottom of the band? Has it been resized?

Thanks, I think it’s a little older than that.

. Thanks Tony, yes it was resized years ago maybe for a pinky ring. I don’t know what the black material is.
