How old is this stoenware jug I found and pieced together?

So i found this stoneware jug, in 24 different pieces. We were able to piece all but 2 of the pieces back together. Just curious how old it is? It was found in a trash pit, not sure if the rest of the pieces will be in there. Just a note, not sure if this helps with age, but its the same glaze on the inside as the outside.


I have a ruler next to it for size reference.




Just a note, we havent glued it yet, only taped it. (hence the wear light reflections and such)
We also have a towel in it to support it.

Yea I like it a lot too, not often I can piece this much of something back together. Also found 2 other stoneware pieces that I havent pieced together yet

That particular stoneware piece is early to mid 20th century. I have a whole one here pulled out of the basement of a very old house. Good find.

Yep! Googled and found almost the exact one. This one is late 19th or early 20th, I also found a bottle from the late 1800s as well, so goes with that. Southern Alkaline Glazed Jug Late 19th or early 20th century > Pottery

Accept thats one top is different, so mine might be a bit newer

Yes, they just cross back into the 19th century but most were about 1910-1930.
